Basketball

When in doubt, dribble
Team München is co-organising the basketball tournament with EuroGames Bern 2023. We will be offering competitive and recreational tournaments for male-identified, female-identified and non-binary players. Please be aware that we may make mix certain levels, should we not receive enough registrations to conduct a tournament.
We play according to the rules of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) with some exceptions in playing time, free throws, as well as team and personal fouls. Games are made up of two halves of 12 minutes each.
A team consists of 5 to 12 players. We recommend a minimum of 7 players per team. Female-identified teams play with size 6 basketballs, male-identified with size 7.
It is possible to register for the tournament as a team or without one. Please keep in mind that the registration fee is due per person. Should there be a high number of participating teams final games may be held on the morning of Saturday, July 29. We will communicate four weeks in advance should this be the case.
