At the end of EuroGames Bern, we will all walk together through the streets of Bern and celebrate the diversity of our community. Let’s get out our rainbow flags and demonstrate hand in hand for equality. Be part of the most colourful day Bern has ever seen.
When and where
BernPride will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023. The start is at 14:00 on the Quartierplatz in front of the Wankdorf Stadium. Afterwards the demo will lead over the Aargauerstalden through the old town to the Bundesplatz. The Pride Festival will take place from 4 p.m. on the Bundesplatz in Bern. The map of the route:
Due to our demo, Tramline 9 only goes to Guisanplatz, so it is better to arrive by train from Bern train station to Bern Wankdorf, e.g. S2 at 13.42 from Bern main station, S1 at 13.46 from Bern main station, S44 at 13.50 from Bern main station or S3 at 14.00 from Bern main station. From Bern Wankdorf the Quartierplatz is only a 5 minute walk away.
You can find the acts playing at the Bundesplatz here. The closing of the EuroGames 2023 will also take place on the Bundesplatz. And there will be speeches and many other highlights. After the big Pride festival on Bundesplatz, there will be numerous parties for which you can already buy tickets in advance. The official EuroGames 2023 closing party “Love is Love” will take place in the Bierhübeli. “Rainbow Hits” will be playing in the Turnhalle. And the youth culture venue Stellwerk offers a party for young people (from 16 years). You can find all the info here.
BernPride for all
It is important to us that all people can participate in BernPride who want to. So if you need support, please contact us early at email@example.com and we will try to help you as much as possible. The Village of the EuroGames on the Münsterplatz and -Platform is also open during BernPride and serves as an additional place for families and for people who want to enjoy a little more space and peace.
We are committed to an open, inclusive and non-discriminatory environment at the EuroGames and BernPride. We ask you – as a participant, visitor or volunteer – to be attentive, respectful and sensitive to all other people.
Solidarity bracelet and card payment
The demo, the Pride-Fest and the concerts of BernPride are of course free of charge. But we are happy if you buy a BernPride solidarity bracelet. How much you want to pay for it, we leave up to you. At the bars and booths of BernPride you can only pay cashless with a card or TWINT. If you don’t have a debit or credit card or don’t want to use it, you can get a cashless card at the Cash- & Infopoints and load it.
Eating and drinking
Please make sure that you drink enough, especially in very high temperatures, and adapt your consumption of alcohol to the conditions and your constitution. On the demo route we will pass numerous fountains, which all carry drinking water. Simply refill your water bottle there free of charge. Also on the Bundesplatz there is no obligation to consume. Right next on the Bärenplatz there is a fountain where you can get delicious Bernese water at any time. On the Bundesplatz there will be many food stands, so you won’t stay hungry.
