You can leave small valuables (money, smartphone etc.) in a small bag in a supervised room in the sports hall. The bag number corresponds to your bib number, so please wear your bib number to get your valuables back. You can leave back packs and luggage in the changing room, but please be advise that there is no supervision there. The changing rooms are 15mins walking distance to the start of the race.

Course
The course is hilly with a total elevation of about 100 meters, consisting of a 1.5km flat entry along the river Aare followed by an elevation leading to the forest (Dählhölzli). At the end you will be returning to the riverside where you have the chance to speed up before the finish line. Find the course map below.

5K: Start and finish: Point B. You will run only one round in the forest and head directly back to the finish line. Approximate length of the course: 5,4 KM
10K: Start: Point A. Finish: Point B. Remember: You will run three rounds in the forest. Please make sure that you count your rounds correctly. You should pass the refreshment post on the top of the course a total of three times where there also is a checkpoint. Then you leave the forest and run back on the same track you went up. Approximate length of the course: 10 KM

Download the .gpx file of the route.

Refreshments
We are serving water and isotonic drinks (Sponser) in the forest (see pink dot on the map). There will be water at the end of the race.

We‘ve made an extra effort to pick a route that showcases the best bits of Bern: a view of our Federal Palace, the turquoise green river Aare, the peaceful nature of the Dählhölzli forest and – an aspect that should not be underestimated – the ups and downs that make our hilly city a challenge for every runner.

We strive to make our run as inclusive as possible: You can choose between our 5K and 10K course. Bring the kids and sign up for our 5K Family run. Not the competitive type? Register for our non-competitive run where we rank participants alphabetically by name and not by time. Please be aware that you can register a maximum of 3 kids per adult for the Family Run. All participating children must be at least 10 years old. No fees are due for children.
